I am a reformed former radical Islamist who now works to raise awareness of the threat of extremism to society and advocate for LGBT rights in Islam. I have appeared on the BBC, Channel 4, MSNBC, and CNN, and my testimony has been read out and presented in parliament. I also partake in panel discussions alongside victims of terrorism and experts in counter-extremism at universities and conferences.
